Sound.

Diegetic Sound; Sound within the film world. E.g a woman swimming in a swimming pool or a man shouting at someone. Most common one is dialogue.

Non- Diegetic Sound; Sound that is not inside the film world. For example, cello notes/phrase and accompanying orchestra.

Sound Bridge; A sound bridge is when a sound or piece of music(diegetic or non-diegetic) is used to link different scenes or shots in a film.

Internal Diegetic: what we hear from inside the actors heads. Its not in the film world as other people cannot hear it however its not on the exterior of the film world as the main character can hear it. Its simply, in her head.
