This is an establishing shot of New York and is uesd to set the scene of where the action is about to take place. It is a really good camera shot to start a film or television episode with as it can contain alot of detail than other camerashots. This establshing shot is a low - angle establishing shot as it is below eye level and its main intention is to make the audience feel inferior.
